Learning About Slow Cookers

Darryl Woodson

Rebecca Wilder, from the Virginia Cooperative Extension, presented an eight-part Slow Cooker class in January and February at the Maury River Senior Center. She reviewed safety tips and slow cooker techniques and offered taste testing of tried and true recipes. All individuals who participated in the classes were presented slow cookers to take home, made possible by The 4-H Teen Club of Rockbridge County. The teens raised funds to purchase the slow cookers by selling baked goods through Facebook.
