Latest Changes To Candidate Filings

There will be a three-way race for Kerrs Creek supervisor this fall. Susan Lawrence turned in petitions to enter the race just before the deadline last Tuesday, June 13, at 7 p.m. She has qualified to get her name on the ballot of the Nov. 7 election, as have Dan Lyons and Republican nominee Steven D. Hart.

It had been incorrectly reported online that Lawrence was a candidate for the Kerrs Creek School Board seat. Incumbent Laurie Strong and challenger Heather Hostetter are the only candidates whose names will be on the ballot for Kerrs Creek School Board member.

A three-way race for Glasgow mayor may wind up being a two-way race. Lynda Mundy-Norris Miller qualified to be a candidate, just under the wire, joining incumbent Mayor Ruby Ogden Clark and Ray M. “Shorty” Berkstresser. Berkstresser has since said he is withdrawing his candidacy. If he goes by the registrar's office and signs the necessary papers, only Clark and Miller will have their names on the ballot for Glasgow mayor.
