James River Sweeps PM Volleyball

Tuesday, Sept. 11 -- James River topped Parry McCluer in straight sets in a high school volleyball match in Buena Vista.

Bailey Marshall racked up 19 kills to lead the Knights to a 25-23, 25-15, 25-18 win. Morgan Marshall added 10 kills, while Lillian Clevenger posted 16 assists and Olivia Murry finished with 12. Niki Kirk paced the JR serving game with four aces.

Jenna Hamilton tallied 11 kills for the Fighting Blues (3-4). Chloe Persinger chipped in six kills, Jade Rowsey collected 15 assists, and Channing Balser notched four kills and two blocks.

PM's contest against Pioneer District rival Covington, originally slated for Thursday, has been postponed due to the threat of inclement weather. The match has been rescheduled for Saturday, Oct. 13. The Blues will now return to action with a road matchup against JR on Monday.
