Dorothy Lee Adams, 87, of Lexington went home to her family on Sunday, June 25, 2017. She was a resident of Heritage Hall.

She was the daughter of Eddie and Alice Moore. She moved from Virginia in 1948 and lived in Dayton, Ohio, for 54 years, then returned to Lexington until her death. She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Murvel Adams; one son, Randy Adams; one daughter, Leslie Yvonne Adams; two sisters, Sadie Hostetter and Shirley Ayres; one brother, Thomas “Tinker” Moore; and one daughter-in-law, Janice Adams.

She is survived by one granddaughter, Bianca Adams Getter, and three great-grandchildren, Dillon, Allyssa, and Kassidy Getter of Englewood, Ohio; one sister, Sandi Moore Shiplett, two nephews, Jason Hartless and Wayne Moore, and two nieces, Lisa Budzinski and Wilma Miller, special cousins, Ladd and Julia Budzinski and Cole Edward Hartless, and her special caregivers, Carolyn Hill and Tarah Blevins.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, June 29, at the Harrison Funeral Home and Mrs. Adams will return to Dayton, Ohio, for burial.
